Palmor Construction was started in late fall of 2012 with just 2 jobs on the schedule. At the time Chad was working full time at a local lumber yard and had recently just married. He was doing some work in his spare time and would always share his pictures of completed jobs with the guys at the lumber yard. Chad made a good friend at the time named Scott and came to respect him as a friend, boss, dedicated worker and true family man. With the support of his wife, Amy and the extra push from Scott believing in him, Chad decided to make the decision to start Palmor Construction.
The name Palmor Construction was created through two different names. The “Pal’ is from the first three letters of Chad's last name. The “Mor” is from the first three letters of his step-father, Gary and grandfather Bob, last names. Gary and Bob have no ownership or interest in the company. It was a chosen name by Chad to remind him daily of the two individuals that took their time to show him the hidden skill and talent he had been born with. His grandpa Bob had his own small shop in his backyard with minimal tools. However, he was able to make anything that he or grandma came up with. His attention to detail is what Chad was impressed with the most and is what Chad feels separates him from other companies out there in the construction business. His step-father Gary was always improving on the home they grew up in. Chad learned a lot from just watching him work through the stages of each remodel project. Gary was always interested in teaching and showing him how things were done. One thing that amazed Chad the most was his ability to fix anything that he or another one of the kids had broken. Gary was and is still so unselfish of his time and that is one thing that has carried over to Chad in the daily operations of his business.
